Band combines the music from Ireland, Scotland, Galicia and Asturias
TN166 Oct 24
Mollimor, based in Gippsland, Vic, blend Irish and Celtic traditional and original tunes and songs with driving, edgy, jazzy or mellow rhythms to produce a unique and varied repertoire.
Lyrical slow tunes alternate with driving rhythms.
Songs merge with tunes, it’s a melting pot.
Instrumental firepower from fiddle, accordion and flute is backed by gutsy rhythms on guitar, bass, bouzouki and djembe.
Mollimor released their latest Album “Trad Time Live” in July.
Consisting of 13 thirteen tracks, many of the tracks are originals written by band members O’Dowd, Foote and Sim.
Combining the best of music from Ireland, Scotland, Galicia and Asturias, the album is available on Bandcamp and from the Trad&Now website.
