Fiona White – Myths of Time
Review by John Williams

Fiona has many years of musical experience behind her which she puts into this CD.
She first appeared at the legendary Frank Traynor’s Folk Club and was a regular at the early National Folk Festivals.
This CD showcases her experience and her musical tastes.
Fiona accompanies herself on guitar.
She is backed by two very talented musicians, her husband Kenny White on guitar, mandolin, slide guitar, bass and harmonica and Inge De Koster on violin.
The three blend to make a very easy to listen to CD.
Fiona has chosen some of her favorite songs such as Sandy Denny’s “Fotheringay” and “Who Knows Where the Time Goes”, Rod McKuen’s “World I Used to Know”, John Denver’s “Back Home Again”, Matt McGinn’s “Corrie Doon” and Buffy St. Marie’s “Until It’s Time for You to Go”. She does justice to them all.
In addition to these re-workings Fiona also does her own arrangements of some traditional tracks including “Down on Me”, “Must I Go Bound” and “I Drew My Ship”.
I liked her versions of these classic folk tracks.
The songs on the CD are sensitively portrayed and sweetly sung.
I enjoyed it and can recommend it.
