Description
Bio: A wonderfully entertaining Bush Poet whose performances are renowned for their vibrancy, humour, emotion & theatrical style of presentation. In true ‘larrikin’ fashion his reciting covers everything from the silly to the serious, traditional, contemporary and most definitely original. He has won a number of the country’s top awards for Written & Performance Poetry including the 2011 Tamworth “Golden Damper” award, the Bobby Miller Memorial award, the Leonard Teale Memorial Spoken Word award as well as the Banjo Paterson Writing & Henry Lawson Adult Literary awards.
Home Brew: A 2 Cd Boxed set of original “Aussie” Bush Poetry (recorded “Live” in the Blue Mountains) produced by Pat Drummond’s Shoestring Records. It is comprised of an original comedy Cd entitled “Light” and a second disk “Full Strength” whose poems form a historical narrative of the country’s development from convict transportation to the present day. 17 original poems in all (plus one by Arthur Green) that include 8 award winners. Edited, mixed and mastered by Blue Mountain Sound the quality is ‘second to none’ and captures well the immediacy of the “Live” performance situation. Each Cd contains an 8 page colour booklet (designed by the Valley Studio) that explains the inspiration behind the writing of each piece as well as what they have won & where.
