Founded by singer/songwriter Carrl Myriad in 1987, first established itself as a “Bush Band” playing around Sydney and the east coast of Australia. Through the years the band explored other genres of music ranging from rock to country to folk until they developed a passionate interest in the traditional music of the Celtic cultures led by Carrl’s deep involvement with his Cornish ancestry. By 1995 the band had focused completely on Celtic music applying their own style to the tradition. Their performances include Breton and Cornish dance tunes and songs in the Welsh, Cornish and Gaelic languages as well as their own Australian-Celtic works that both celebrate and extend the tradition.
